Every managed care organization is different, but many view guidelines as rigid routines rather than flexible aids to good practice. You would be wise to check with your managed care organization to determine the intent of the guideline or protocol.

My biggest problem in high-pressure business situations is I forget someone’s name a moment after we’re introduced or meet. Any tips for fixing this?

Repeating the name in the final moments of your conversation will help to engrave it in your memory.  Research shows the most common reason for forgetting a person’s name is failure to focus on the moment of introduction.
